The Lore

The Order of the Unseen Way

“Wonder never left the world — only our habit of looking for it. Where most people see a puddle, a pigeon, or a path behind the houses, a pathfinder sees something worth the walking.”

The Ledger of Finds

The Order keeps no castle and hoards no gold. Its only treasure is the Ledger of Finds, where every wonder witnessed is written down in the name of the one who witnessed it. The craft is simple and whole: go out, look, and bring back proof.

The Way is unseen because most have forgotten how to walk it. You have not.Welcome, pathfinder.

Those Who Send Word

The voices of the Order

Magister Aldwyn Hale

Loremaster of the Order · your recruiter

“Word reaches the Order of a river-fowl beyond the mill-bridge. Walk out, witness it, bring back proof — and your name shall enter the Ledger of Finds.”

Captain Kestrel

Quest-giver of the Emberkin

“The horizon won't dare itself, pathfinder. There's a hawk riding the wind past the ridge — go meet it.”

Sable the Watcher

Quest-giver of the Tidewatchers

“Still water, at dusk. A heron keeps it. Find it. The Order remembers those who see.”

Wren the Wayfinder

Quest-giver of the Stonetreaders

“One step out the door, every day — that is how mountains are crossed. There is an old oak down the lane; go stand with it a while.”

The Three Orders

Where does your heart belong?

Every pathfinder swears to one of three orders. Choose yours — the whole of Outdare takes on its colours.

The Coin of the Order

What your finds are worth

Copper

The coin of the road — earned from every find, spent at the Quartermaster.

Silver

Renown that only climbs — paid by trophies and deeds of note.

Gold

The standing of a seasoned pathfinder, won in the War of the Three Orders.

Runestones

Carved when the Order was young. A single one is worth more than a season of gold.

Walk well, pathfinder.
