The Way Back In

Some of you knocked and the door did not open. This patch is mostly about doors.

New in this patch

• Google sign-in works again — tapping Continue with Google a second time appeared to do nothing at all. It was in fact succeeding every time, and then being quietly turned away at the gate. Both halves are fixed, and the account picker now shows up when you ask for it.
• An unconfirmed email no longer bars the door — confirming your address was never something the Order actually required, yet it was holding people out of their own accounts. Sign in and play; a quiet note on your dashboard will remind you to confirm when you have a moment, and you can send yourself a fresh letter from there. Confirm it and the seal clears itself.
• The letter leads home — the confirmation link used to end on a blank page belonging to someone else. Now it brings you back to Outdare.
• The Ledger runs a hundred deep — the roll of finds shows the top hundred pathfinders instead of the top ten, so there is somewhere to climb from and someone above you to chase. Every explorer who has taken up the Way appears on it.
• The quest-giver keeps its word — leaving a commission and coming back used to fetch a different one, which quietly made your one decline a day worth nothing. The commission on the table is now your commission: it waits for you, and only a decline changes it.
• A readable welcome — the opening tour explained the Inventory with words hidden behind the buttons it was pointing at.

Beneath the surface

Backing out of the quest-giver was doing more damage than it looked: each visit spent a quest from your own pool of unseen word, permanently. That pool is no longer charged for a change of mind.

A word of thanks

Fishlord found the quest-giver’s flaw and sent word. A Runed Tidecaller is waiting in his satchel — a rare stave of river-driftwood, with the reason it was given written into the relic itself.
